Refreshments and Fellowship — 8:00 a.m.
Welcome and Opening
- Officer Donna Kasen, Pasadena Police Department welcomed all
- Father Bob Gastel (PPD) opened in prayer
SCCA Business Meeting — 8:30 a.m. by SCCA Vice President Assistant Chief Senior Chaplain Rich Atkinson, Orange County Sheriff’s Department
- Training Opportunities
- Next SCCA Quarterly Training Meeting Thursday, November 15, 2007, at the Santa Ana Police Department, 60 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana. “Building Bridges of Caring” For every Chaplain who walks away from the scene of a tragic event and has to deal with the impact of the call … alone! Presented by The Counseling Team International, Dr. Nancy Bohl. Flier given to each attendee
- Meeting schedule for 2008 reviewed with the request for Chaplains to host meetings
- Questionnaire passed out asking for input from members on topics for future training
- Blue pamphlets presenting SCCA provided and discussed
- Annual ICPC 2008 ATS (Annual Training Seminar) in Mobile, AL July 7-11. See SCCA website for more information
- General Information
- SCCA Board Meeting Schedule for 2008 January 18, June 20, and September 5 at 9:00 a.m. at The Salvation Army’s Tustin Ranch
- Questionnaire provided to members to supply input on recommendations to the board

- Ways to approach them and establish a relationship
- Group discussion
- Officer Carolyn Gordon—assigned to work at the high schools
- Reasons for truancy
- Development of gang behavior
- Reach one at a time and then keep going will result in thousands touched
- Lieutenant Lisa Perrine (Community Services) heartily thanked Chaplains for what they do!
